Oma's Story and Microfinance

​For years, Oma was subject to an abusive husband and poor living conditions. She was desperate for an escape, but was unsure of how to get out of her situation. Once she realized she was pregnant and her child was in danger, she ran from her home. She had no place to go and no resources to provide for her and her unborn son.  She gave birth to her child in a homeless shelter, then found refuge with our team in our women's shelter in Kathmandu where she was presented with the gospel and became a believer in Jesus shortly after.

With our team, not only did Oma receive new life in Jesus, but she also received the training to learn how to sew . And with the support of RU4's Microfinance ministry, Oma was able to open up her own store front, a sewing shop to sew and sell dresses as a means to provide for her family and share the gospel to those who come into her shop.  She has also been able to hire two employees to help her sew and run her shop.  She has been able to share the gospel with them as well.  What a testimony of all the Lord has done!
